Robin Sukatorn is a figurative artist and illustrator, currently studying for an MFA in Illustration at Manchester School of Art. He draws predominately with pencil and ink, as well as working with print and digital processes. His practice is centred around depicting people, scenes and events from contemporary political, cultural and community life- focused presently on the North of England. From excursions to explore, directly observe and sketch from various urban locations, Robin returns with a record of reportage drawings with the aim to capture a sense of the scenes and characters he encounters.

Robin was awarded the John Ruskin Student Prize in February 2016 for his reportage drawing of a speech from Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn outside Manchester Cathedral, and has exhibited at the New Art Gallery Walsall and Trinity Buoy Wharf in London.
